blackjack, as it's know by the locals is part of the snowriver resort (known by locals as Indian head, before political correctness ruined the names...) it's much quieter than the main lift area at Jackson, due to older, slower lifts. Opens later in the day, giving people the opportunity to hit fresh runs even later in the day. You can easily spend all day on either peak
Awkward outside ticket counter. Hill dining has extremely odd times that places available to eat or drink close or open during hill hours. Not much posted for this. 6 chair lift is very nice. T bar lift is great but only open a few hours. Overall just a very strange experience between hills.
What a great ski resort! Beautiful rubs and tons of character
Great weekend ski get away. Usually plenty of fresh, real snow with 110"/year average. Bar entertainment for apris ski social time with lots of space for guests. We've also had meals catered here for large groups.
Lots of fun terrain and well-groomed trails. Base lodge is spacious and clean. Old-school double chairs help to reduce the number of skiers on the runs at any given time, but no lift lines on the day we were there (Saturday). No cafeteria, but bar and restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices. Our favorite ski hill in the area.
