Black Lantern Bed & Breakfast

We were very impressed with our 1-night stay at Black Lantern B&B. Very comfortable room (Androscoggin room), delicious breakfast, quiet, nice view of the river. The property was well-maintained and clean. Tom and Judy were welcoming and charming hosts. We enjoyed walking to dinner at the delightful Sea Dog BrewPub. We look forward to returning again next year.

From the lovely greeting by Tom, even though we didn't get there until 9 p.m., to the delicious breakfasts that Judy and Tom put together, the experience was wonderful. Their place was our first stop. The room was clean and comfortable, Judy had M & M treats for us outside our room, and we had interesting conversations during breakfast. Tom gave us a recommendation of an ice cream place for our next stop, and it was spot on. This place rates the highest recommendation from us.

We had a wonderful, though short stay at the Black Lantern B&B. The host and hostess were very welcoming, offering our choice of sitting areas to have a cocktail before heading into Brunswick for dinner. We had a room at the back of the house overlooking their beautiful , flowering property extending down to the Androscoggin River. The room was cheery, large and very clean. |We enjoyed conversing with the host and hostess who were friendly and outgoing. The breakfast was outstanding--, coffee, fresh fruit, juice and scones followed by an apple pancake and eggs. We highly recommend the Black Lantern B&B, and only wish that we would have discovered it earlier!

The Black Lantern was a joy. Judy and Tom Connelie were quintessential hosts. Upon our arrival, Tom gave us a rundown on the facilities and provided ideas on where to eat. We stayed in the Fireplace Room, which has a gas fireplace installed for the cooler months. The room was appealing and thoughtfully decorated. Every possible detail was accounted for. We lacked for nothing (not to mention the M & M's in the hallway). Breakfast was excellent! If you want to relax in a chair with a view of the Androscoggin River, that is available also.

We had a delightful stay with Tom and Judy. They are exemplary hosts and have a great knowledge of the area. Our room was comfortable and lovely, with a gorgeous view of the river. Breakfast was just perfect. Judy even gave me her recipe after I mentioned I'd like to make it at home! We would absolutely stay here again. We frequent B&B's when we go away, and this one is exceptional.
