Bird Creek Campground

Went midweek in mid-June, I was the only one there, and it is very peaceful. Suggest campsite down the hill from the first outhouse (#12), private and right on the creek. The cows can make it in to the camping area so beware of the occasional manure piles!

I know my mom doesn't want me to write reviews, but I just love this place so much that I have to share! It is wonderful! Right next to a creek and if you're at the last campsite on the right, there's a trail that leads to a waterfall! Highly recommend!

It can get cold here, saw deer, chipmunks and a wild turkey

Beautiful campground, spent many summers here as a kid and have so many good memories! Some may complain about dirt bikes but this is one of the only state parks that allow dirt bike riding anymore so its a tradition for many people. There are beautiful dirt bike trails that take you all over. Definitely reccomend if your family rides!

Couldn't park next to out tents to air up our beds too close to neighbors. Bathrooms were gross and needed attention. You could smell the out house at or camp site every time the bathrooms were used. We had to dig out the fire pit for out was filled with garbage and glass. Every time somebody drove through the campsite you got dusted out. Then another campsite somebody started a fire and we had to cut our camping trip short bad experience all around but smelling the Outhouse was the worst nothing like sitting down to eat your dinner and get a nice with a pootie.
