Bird City RV Park

Stopped to charge my electric car for about an hour while I scooted next door for dinner. Nice RV spot right behind the car wash and convenient to restaurant, gas station and just four blocks from downtown and more restaurants and grocery. Also next to an older hotel that has room and apartment to rent on Airbnb.

How convenient for a little town on US36 to offer a campground for travelers, thank you! About a half dozen sites with concrete pads, water, electric and sewer. Quiet. Helpful hint, if you have a low trailer, use Site 1, which has the sewer cap at ground level; others are raised pipes. Upon arrival, text the owner with your site number, pay electronically using PayPal or Venmo or place cash or check into the secure mail slot on the side of the car wash. Rate in 2025 was $25. Grass could have been mowed, but, since we've been West, just happy for grass at all!

Isaac and his family went above and beyond to get a really nice suite together to host us last minute. Everything clean, beautiful wood accents, you feel like you’re home. They’re finishing renovations of a classic roadside motel next to their RV campground and car wash. Isaac made recommendations for food, rest stops, and other lodging in the areas we’d be traveling to next. As he knew we’d be riding through rural towns, he even called several establishments to see if they would be open on Sunday. As a cyclist riding along highway 36 for many days, this oasis in Bird City is truly a gem. Thank you Isaac!

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warmth and dedication of the owners, Isaac and his family. They truly embody the spirit of Midwestern hospitality. Despite our late arrival due to a windstorm, Isaac waited up until midnight to ensure we settled into a comfortable spot with full hookups. This level of customer service is rare and deeply appreciated, especially after a challenging drive. The park itself is beautiful, featuring nice walking trails that allow you to stretch your legs and enjoy the surroundings. Great place to stay if ever in the area. I was there for work for 5 weeks. The owner was very accommodating with great communication. Quiet park and the laundry room and added car wash connected to the RV park is a definite plus. We will definitely stay again if in the area. Be sure to visit Big Ed’s steakhouse down the road.
