Birches Lakeside Campground on Cobbosseecontee Lake is a small, RV/camper and cabin rental campground. You can not go there unless you are renting a spot for a camper or RV or are renting a cabin. Or you are a friend or family member of someone staying there and pay $8 per person. My parents drove their RV up from Florida this summer and staid there for a couple of months. It was fun. There is a small sand beach, boat docks, a small convenience store, a small playground. It was pretty crowded end of July into August. Then started to die down as August commenced. My parents have already rented a spot for a couple of months next summer. 👍😎🤿
Worst camping trip of my life. They put us in a swamp, and theres no fires, accordingly to maine state fire laws; which i understood. But a heads up would have been nice because i had my young grandchild , and had to put rocks in her pocket so the misquitos wouldnt carry her away. Plenty of open campsites, not sure why we were stuck there. There was multiple bees nest over the small campsite, so it was crazy. Staff was nice, but rarely saw them. I would not recommend
We were greeted on the 29th of June for our 1 week stay with great plesantry. We stayed at cabin 3 a very cute and comfortable cabin. We loved the location and how close we were to the beach and the store. We were especially pleased with the puppy stations and that were always equipped with bags and the bins were never overfilled. Staffed drove around at least 4 times a day picking up trash and keeping the area spotless. They always greeted the guest with a smile and a wave. We especially enjoyed the store and the supplies and food they had. The "pizza" was fantastic and we highly recommended it. We hope to go again next year!! ❤️ Jim/Pat and Oreo
First the good news: great location, a number of services available i.e. store, cafe restaurant, boat, kayak, beach for swimming etc. Number of options available, cabins, RV lots. |The Bad: cabin we were in(#7) smelled badly the whole time we were using it. Seemed to be coming from the bathroom. |The Ugly: They have an insane, vigorously enforced 5mph speed limit on camp grounds. I was going between 5-8mph one night and someone complained to the owner Phil who promptly pulled me over in his golf cart and told me to slow down! I was going 8mph! When we arrived from dinner one night at 9:30pm we were confronted by no one at the gate to let us in. We had to call Phil on the phone who gave us a code to enter. Why not give customers the code when they check in? Our group rented one
Beautiful campground on Cobboseeconte lake. Friendly, very accommodating owners. Very well managed, super clean with beautiful lake views. We'll be back!
