Bigfoot Lodging Lassen

We had an amazing stay at Bigfoot Lodging in Shingletown, CA. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly pleasant. The host was very responsive and made sure everything was smooth and comfortable for us. The location is perfect — quiet, safe, and ideal for relaxing drives and unwinding in nature. If you enjoy scenic routes and calm surroundings, this is the ultimate spot. I drove a Tesla, and while Tesla charging can be a bit of a challenge in the area, there are charging stations within about 25 miles. The good news is that Bigfoot Lodging offers a charging point for overnight use if you bring an adapter, which was very helpful. Overall, it’s an amazing place to stay, drive around, and truly relax. Highly recommended!

This place has truly become a second home for me and my kids. As a single mom, finding a space where we can slow down, feel safe, and just be together means everything—and this place gives us that. We’ve stayed in a cottage, cabin, teepee, bell tent, and even tent camped, but my heart always goes back to the tent site next to the spring. Watching my kids laugh while we catch frogs in the pond is something I’ll treasure forever 🐸 The waterfalls are breathtaking, the energy is peaceful, and even though it’s close to town, it feels like a quiet, off-grid escape from the world. While a few upgrades could be made, the beauty, calm, and memories created here far outweigh that. I’m so grateful for this place and highly recommend it to anyone looking for peace, nature, and connection

Drove across the country. Stayed in many places... this has got to be the best so far! We loved it and will be back. Plenty of space for our big rig under lots of shade. Very easily accessible even in the wintertime. Can't wait to check it out in the summer. Might even leave the motorhome parked and come check out one of their yurts or teepees although the old lady wants the fancy cottage with the hottub... 5 STARS for the new owners! Their vision is amazing. They only own this one location and it shows.

This has to be one of our best trips ever. This place is amazing! The friendly service from Pete the manager was refreshing. The rustic yet clean and wonderful look of the many different cabins you can rent is amazing. We stayed in a cottage with a private hot tub and a wood fired stove. It was amazing! We left our dogs here while visiting Eskimo Hill and Lassen which is less than 20min from here. It was easy to find with plenty of free parking and lots of trails for walking our dogs all the way to the waterfall next to the lake and creek. We'll definitely be back in the summertime when they put the yurts, teepees and bohemian tents in place again! We'll be bringing our quads to go exploring the many hundreds of logging trail miles.

We had a wonderful stay at this campground. Cottage number 3. Very accommodating for 2 adults and 5kids. It was very clean and comfortable, and the entire property was well cared for. The staff was friendly and helpful, which made us feel welcome right away. The setting is peaceful with beautiful scenery — a perfect place to relax and unwind.
