Big Tex Campgrounds

It was very roomy and warm- definitely recommend going with family during the fall. Me and my daughter adored being in nature. The trees were so beautiful and vibrant compared to a lot of other RV parks which are not family friendly and quite bland. Definitely can make some memories here! Especially on the trails! Kaylee was very kind as well and updated me on all of the upcoming events going on in town! Would definitely vacay here again!

I used their propane fill up - used them for propane services. I saw a flyer hung up in a window in downtown Ben Wheeler with their number on it, so I called them and was able to run home to get my tanks and go get them filled within the hour. They have a little stand outside that you can push the button and it calls the guy to come fill up, and then you pay with a QR code. Very convenient! Instead of going to the dollar store to exchange I can just fill up the tanks for cheaper this way. Recommended for this small town if you need propane

There’s not enough stars ⭐️ when it comes to rating Big Tex campgrounds! The family atmosphere, the community involvement, and the 1990s feel is everything and more! I’ve watched Kaylee and Josh from the beginning and it’s truly amazing to see all the hard work come to life!! Whether you’re looking for a family getaway or shopping at Canton, Big Tex Campgrounds has your lodging covered!!

We stayed three nights at Big Tex Campgrounds (site 14) and it was hands-down the nicest RV park we’ve ever visited in East Texas. The campground has everything you could want—clean showers, walking trails, and plenty of space that still makes it feel like real camping, not just parking. The staff were incredible—friendly, helpful, and you can tell they really care about making guests feel welcome. That kind of hospitality is hard to find these days, at least in our experience One of the best parts is knowing this place is just getting started. They already have so much to offer, and seeing what’s planned for the future has us even more excited to come back. This has become a new favorite for us, and we’re already planning to make Big Tex Campgrounds part of our yearly tradition.

This is an icon of what a campground means. Built around the trees, it allows its guest a true camping experience with all the accommodations needed for a full size RV. The staff are so amazing! Absolutely the best at making guest feel welcome and at home!! The vision by the owners on what a makes a great camping spot for all to enjoy is remarkable!! This is an A-List campground!
