Best spot to end a 8 day backpacking trip in the Winds! Kind and gracious family owned and operated business, they welcomed our smelly group into their historical and adorable lodge with open arms. They fed our bellies with home cooked deliciousness (beer, burgers, slaw & family style buffet of salads, biscuits, pie, mac & cheese and the best meat loaf ever!!). I even got a shower which had great water pressure and privacy, it was lovely. Can’t recommend enough. We will be back someday, thank you so so much for making the end of our trip very memorable!

Highly recommend coming here. We stayed two nights and one full day horse back riding. The ride was an experience to remember. I have terminal cancer and it was a bucket list item for me to ride in the Winds and this place not only fullfilled that wish but went beyond anything we could have asked for. Food is great. Hamburgers were incredible. Cabins were perfect. Employees are wonderful. Thank you for a trip I will never forget.

The Morris family and their staff were wonderful hosts! The food was great--nothing fancy, just satisfying home cooked meals! The beds were comfortable and the bath house was spotless. It was perfect for reconnecting with family without the distraction of smartphones! This is truly a special place in a spectacular setting! Would definitely stay again!

Stayed at Big Sandy on both ends of a week plus in the Cirque. This lodge is perfect. Rustic, friendly, warm and welcoming. The staff is very accommodating and the food was wonderfully hearty — perfect after a long week of hiking. Will absolutely stay here again next time visiting the Winds.

Hospitality is 5/5. We received great homecooked meals that fueled our adventures, and the lodge has a super friendly staff that made our visit very enjoyable. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, impressive for how many smelly hikers stop here (myself included). Some of our party noted the beds were a little soft/sagging in the middle, but otherwise we all enjoyed our stay. Would visit again
