Bestway Inn - Middletown/Middlefield

Room was smelly, no shower head on the shower. No cleaning maids. The towels were stained yellow, luckily I carry my own. I found drugs behind the night stand. It was the only place closest to the concert available. I actually missed the concert because I had to purchase items to sanitize the bathroom before I could use any of the facilities. The sheets were clean thank goodness, however I will drive the extra distance for further events; versus staying there.

The lady here at the desk who is the owner is absolutely out of her mind. She is beyond nasty rude & disrespectful. Does not know how to properly speak to people nor know anything about customer service. Upon check in I had to clean the room myself & after staying there 1 -1/2 week she would not fully service my room. The rooms are descent size. The cleaning lady did a better job at making sure I was comfortable & had what i needed more than the owner.

I picked this room based on location, reviews, and price. It is located on a main route less than 5 miles from the venue where we were producing a 3 day music festival. I was looking for an inexpensive, safe place to sleep for a couple hours a night and shower. That is exactly what I got. The reviews basically said outdated but clean. I accidentally booked a smoking room so I was worried about smell as I don't smoke, but it was not bad. The room probably had not been rented in a while because the toilet had a ring in it, and the room had undisturbed dust. I brought paper towels and a bottle of spray cleaner with me, as always, so I spiffed it up. (This has happened in even expensive hotels.) I stayed there last week for the first time. The room smelled amazing when I opened the door. Once inside I couldn't believe how clean the room was. I was pleasantly surprised. Workers were very helpful and nice. I had a great stay and will definitely be returning..
