Best Western Plus Yosemite Way Station Motel

Paid: ~90USD total (off season) Price is relevant and should be specified more often in reviews. Overall, the experience-to-price ratio was probably the best I've ever gotten from a motel. Cleanliness: 5/5. Spotless. Room: 5/5. Comfortable, large, feels good. Price: 5/5. Note that this was off season. Ease of check in: 5/5 Amenities: 5/5 compared to other motels, 2.5/5 compared to hotels. This is somewhere in the middle. Bonus; breakfast was included and was excellent. Location: 4/5. Still a bit of a drive to Yosemite valley, but in a very convenient little town with food and stores available.

We chose to stay at the Best Western in Mariposa while visiting Yosemite. It was about a 45 minute, very scenic drive along the Merset River from the El Portal exit at Yosemite. ||Liz at check in was a doll! She recommended two restaurants, a farm to table restaurant & a barbecue restaurant. We tried the barbecue place, Smokin’ Oak. Liz definitely did not steer us wrong! The ribs were AMAZING, so tender, flavorful & full of meat. ||I have been trying to find a new housekeeper but I am particular & haven’t found anyone that cleans as well as I do. I would definitely hire the housekeeping staff from the Best Western Mariposa to clean my house! Our room was immaculate! Clean, attractive, well-appointed rooms. Very nice property inside and out. Pool and hot tub were a welcome sight after a day of hiking. Excellent breakfast buffet. Charming town with everything you need before heading to Yosemite. Highly recommend this well managed property!

Positive: Loved that breakfast was included and it was not just stalled bread. Negative: Not so much the hotel, however finding out that the water was not drinkable in the town was a major bummer; I would like to have known that prior to staying.

My family stayed here for two nights. We enjoyed the stay! Staff is very accommodating. Lots of parking space and quiet. Walking distance to Shops and restaurants
