Best Western Plus The Inn at Sharon/Foxboro

Best Western Plus The Inn at Sharon/Foxboro in Sharon is a very good choice when visiting Gillette Stadium in Foxborough; not too close, and not too far. Tucked away between U.S. Route 1 and Interstate 95, it may be a bit noisy for some, especially on game weekends, but the location is very convenient. The staff here is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is good, with hot options. My room was clean, comfortable, and functional. Very much recommended.

Positive: The room itself appeared to be recently renovated and was very nice. Negative: The hallways and other areas outside of the rooms are due for a renovation. Staff was often away from the front desk working on other issues.

We cannot comment on the rooms because we never even got to see one.||During a severe rain and wind storm last week, the hotel we were staying at lost power, as did many nearby businesses. Since Best Western was on the same street, we decided to try there simply to get somewhere warm and safe for the night. That decision turned out to be a huge mistake.||Before heading over, I called to ask if they had electricity. The woman who answered acted as if this was a strange question, which should have been our first red flag. When we arrived, she then told us their power had gone out and their systems were not fully working — the same thing she seemed offended I had asked about earlier.||We were told to sit in the breakfast/seating area while we checked prices and tried to make a reservation. The people that run the front desk are about as dumb as they come. Don't tell a guest to email a UPS label to the hotel in order to get a forgotten personal item shipped when you don't have regularly scheduled pick ups happening at your location & then refuse to take the item a whole 5 minutes away to the UPS drop point. Also, they seem to have quite the scam going on for how they operate on "game days". How is it that when booking rooms on their own website, there is absolutely no mention of upcharges or increased service fees in the total price, but once a guest is standing in front of them, the prices are different because of "game day"? My sister is the guest in question. I am the one who drove 5.5 hours round-trip to go pick up her item. That she only forgot after getting frustrated

The room was updated and clean. Very basic, very affordable. Breakfast was hot and delicious. Staff was nice. There is a dunkin and food places across the street.
