Best Western Okemos/East Lansing Hotel & Suites

I came here for a mental health break and this hotel was the perfect place for me. My room was nice ,the gym was great and the pool area was beautiful. The staff were very kind and helpful when I needed something. The breakfast area was nice and have a decent selection of food to choose from. They had live plants in the pool room and plants seem to be well cared for a hotel! Very impressive. Will be staying here again in the future.

Walked into the lobby, very open and spacious. Check in was a breeze as I had made a reservation. Our room was spotlessly clean and all amenities in good working order. No odors at all. HVAC was quiet. Plenty of well lit parking.

The pool is huge and the kids enjoyed it. The staff is great there just isnt enough of them for the size of the hotel. There was an odor in our room, the room was kind of dirty (they didnt move any ottomans to vacuum the massive amount of crumbs underneath) and the tv didnt work. When we called the front desk, they didnt have any rooms to switch us to but did offer cleaning supplies so we could clean the room ourselves. When we asked for a manager, they said there wasnt one onsite but they would have them call us. No call ever came. We will think twice before staying here again.

The last time we stayed here was 16 years ago and while it's been updated somewhat its still old. The couch was kinda threadbare and as one reviewer mentioned there was wax on the wall.🤔 I found it on the handles of the jacuzzi and the TV cabinet in the main room as well. The shower had no seal around the door so water ran out the bottom and created a pool on the bathroom floor. The fridge foze everything in the bottom half of the fridge. The bed was rock hard. The outside doors didn't close all the way, they were either stuck open a crack or propped open by someone which wasn't the safest feeling for us. Lots of cons. Pros: Good breakfast on the weekend. Quiet where we were. Yah that's it lol It's decent but old so it's definitely NOT a 4 star experience. The breakfast staff were nice!

Absolutely perfect for a quick stay. Clean, breakfast was simple but fresh and as expected. No fresh fruit, but plenty of pastries and hot foods. The rooms are very clean and modern, and the beds were comfortable. We were extremely happy with the quality of the hotel, especially at the price we paid for it. Location felt safe. Only issue we had was soundproofing, as it was easy to hear the neighbors. Pool looks clean and gym functioned well. We’d definitely stay here again!
