Best Western Bar Harbour Inn

Positive: The staff was very courteous and helpful. The lobby is very nice and there is 24hr coffee from a Nescafe machine that is very good for this type of hotel. There is a nice pool, and because the rooms are located at the back, it is fairly quiet. Negative: Our room was small (King) but clean and nice. Too small for two people hanging out, but good if you're mainly just sleeping there. Unfortunately it smelled of mold/mildew but it might be that way in every room, so we didn't mention it.

Staff are wonderful. The facility was clean. Public spaces such as the dining are was clean. This location has an indoor swimming pool. There are plenty of restaurants within a .5 mile radius. I definitely will return to this location

I made a last minute reservation to attend a funeral. The people working at the front desk were kind and welcoming. The lobby/breakfast area was nice, there was a little business center, and 24/7 access to a machine that makes coffee drinks. Really good hotel breakfast. There was a lot of traffic noise since it’s on a main road, but there were a few places to walk to for food, and the area felt safe. Plenty of parking. The WiFi worked well. This is an older property they seem to be gradually renovating, so the rooms and exterior weren’t perfect. My room was clean and well-supplied, and some aspects were updated. Other things like the mattress and shower head were older. I was in an exterior room, so I couldn’t really open the curtains without sacrificing privacy. But a good value overall,

Where can I start??? The front desk staff is the NICEST, kindest, understanding, compassionate, and just down to earth friendliest front desk staff one could ever ask for (day and night shift). My fiancé Jimmy and I have stayed here many, many times, and while we do our best to keep our noise making to a minimum, unfortunately that doesn’t always go to plans. And without going too much into detail, while sometimes things in relationships happen, every single staff member has always been so understanding and offers to lend an open ear and an open shoulder to cry on if ever needed. This hotel is always so clean, with fresh and new towels always available when asked for. The pool is quite lovely as well. The location is in a very safe, yet busy part of the Island. This was our first stay here, abd we stayed in one of the outer rooms, as well as an inside room. Both were perfect! Newly remodeled, clean and comfortable. Cathy and Iris at the front desk were great; very welcoming and super helpful. Continental breakfast every morning, fresh and good. All rooms provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash, so no need to pack those. Plenty of parking, safe and secure. This is a family owned hotel, and no, they didn't accept section 8 when the nearby Budget Inn closed...fact! My family is in Massapequa, so a convenient place to stay. If you prefer a chain hotel, head put to Rt. 110, which is not to far.
