Best Rest Inn & Suites

The hotel lost my initial reservation that I made online. I had to pay when I checked in. And as of nearly a month later, the hotel management has not worked with the reservation company to return my money. I stayed at the hotel for four days. Only one of the four days did they clean my room even after I left a message for them to do so. 3 of the 4 nights, I had to go to the front desk and get towels. The wifi barely worked and was not good enough to maintain conference calls for work during the day. At night, the wifi was nearly useless when the hotel was full. This was unfortunate as I have used this hotel faithfully for more than 20 years. The front desk staff tried to be helpful when they were around to be reached. Rooms were clean. Decor is dated but it'snot an issue. Pool is in the basement. Game room needs some work but entertained the kids for a while. The breakfasts were creative with lots of options. Each day a different grab and go hot option. My favorite was the sausage on a stick wrapped in pancake batter. They had a nice waffle iron and you could make your own. Instant oatmeal options, packaged bagel/doughnut type options, yogurt , juice and milk. Tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. We were impressed with the breakfast options. Everything was so clean and the staff were so nice. We enjoyed our stay there.

The front desk associate was nice and friendly. However, the ice machine was out of order and we did not get housekeeping (not even towels). When we requested towels at the front desk, we were told it was uncertain due to the laundry schedule. There is a very small pool, but no hot tub. The breakfast was mediocre, but signage limited the number of items allowed per guest. Rooms and furnishings are worn. It was expensive considering the facility and quality of our stay.

The staff took such good care of our family during our stay. The service was excellent. This is not one of those places that make you feel like you’re an inconvenience. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There are updates in place after a remodel with more on the way. Delicious fresh breakfast. Awesome game room. Clean pool. We’ll be back!

The positive was the room was "mostly" clean. The negatives. We are a senior couple. We requested a 1st floor room - "they are full". So, we got a luggage rack and started walking the halls to find out there are no elevator in this hotel. So, one by one brought our luggage up the stairs to our room. Then there are some rooms with balconies. Our room was above the room with the biggest balcony. They were outside when we got there and outside when we went to bed. The noise carried but not as bad as we thought. Friday, they have stock car races = they were going on and VERY loud until 10-11. Not the hotels' fault. I am thinking the rooms towards the front of the building "could be" quieter on race nights but not sure. The room was VERY dark - my husband hated that. There are 2 l
