Best In the West Resort

I camped there for 3 nights. Everyone was so nice! Mears creek runs right by into the Sacramento River a short walk away. Rode my mountain bike to Sims lookout and around many dirt roads..Deer and bear nearby! It's beautiful here.

Perfect getaway in clean cabins with a quaint, peaceful atmosphere. If you love nature, you won’t be disappointed. Have stayed here several times. There is special ambience that refreshes the soul!

My husband and I Loved this place❣️Dale the owner is a great guy. And Tammy is a breath of fresh air and is devoted to keep it going as Dale would want! We definitely miss Dale being their. We love “Best in the West Resort “ Kelly & Carolyn Grisham

It’s a beautiful location, the cabins are priced amazingly and Big Al was extremely helpful as were the rest of the staff. This is definitely my favorite vacation spot!

Sadly, this is no longer available This place is for you if you want to get away from all the normal, craziness of our fast paced plugged in world. The cabins are each unique and have what you need for basic cooking. Bring our own food to cook in the cabin or head up to Dunsmuir or Mount Shasta City to one of the many restaurants. Expect to enjoy the rush of the creek outside your cabin year round. There are trails to hike near by at Castle Crags State Park. It isn't the Hilton, but that is exactly why we love this place,.it is for those who love the eclectic venues that offer a different experience. It is beautiful in its seclusion and rustic charm. So sad for the loss of Dale and the closing of this very special place!
