Bessie's Inn

Bessie's Inn is a hidden gem! If you are passing through the area you must stay here. We were backpacking and had to get off the trail and needed a place to stay the night on short notice. The owner got us in quickly and easily. The home is beautifully reconstructed and decorated with historical items and information about the home and town.

I was working nearby and unexpectedly needed a room. Betty was very accommodating and rented to me on short notice. Quiet room, easy access to kitchen and common room (I stayed downstairs). Fast internet, washer dryer, milk, coffee and snacks in the kitchen... what's not to love! Back door access was perfect for unloading/loading my equipment. It appears that both floors have shared bathrooms which might be a drawback for some people. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will stay again if I'm in the area.

What a gem! We needed a last minute place to stay after bailing out on a backpacking trip due to an injury and relentless rain. After calling Betty we were in within 10 minutes. This Inn was beautifully renovated and maintains a deep connection to Huntsville and Arkansas history. Clean, charming and comfortable. Showers are a 12 out of 10!

This is where my husband and I got married in 2021 sad to see the nice lady sell it I loved every moment in that little house hopefully whoever gets it we'll take really good care of it. There is not a day that goes by that I just want to stop in there and have another look around yes it was a small place but it was a beautiful place! I was hoping one day we would have a anniversary right there.... At least I got memories ❤️

Bessie’s Inn is a best kept secret of Huntsville! She is nestled right on main street within walking distance to the square, a grocery store, restaurants, and more. It’s spacious, very clean, and a quiet place to rest. Then add the unique history about the house AND an amazing host, Betty, and you have THE perfect place to stay in Huntsville. We were bike packing in so it was extra special having a bike wash too! Thank you Betty!!
