Beside Still Waters Log Cabin and Greenhouse

I typically do not leave reviews, but this place is so wonderful and underrated, really had a difficult time finding any pics online, so I'm leaving a review for others. Beside Still Waters cabin rental in Spencerville Indiana. Beautiful little cabin on 46 acres, a small pond, even smaller pond next door, several trails and some pines that look like a they were part of a pine farm since they're so impressively symmetrical. The cabin is just beautiful. The decor consists of a lot of handmade iron; I'm assuming the owners are either blacksmiths themselves or have someone close to them that really enjoy blacksmithing. Because it snowed, we were pretty much locked down with nowhere to go but our stay was still fantastic. We stayed warm, cooked several meals in the cozy kitchen, and played games next to the gas fireplace. We’ll definitely come back on the Spring for some fishing and hiking!

I've been here twice; once for a weekend in Oct 2016, and then a single night in Jan 2020. Both times were thoroughly enjoyable! It's very quiet all around. My girlfriend in 2020 loves antique architecture and settings. Needless to say, she was absolutely thrilled with being there. On my second visit, we brought our own paper plates and cutlery to avoid hand washing the dishes provided. It's a nice touch to find your name(s) on the welcome slate by the back door. Unlike hotels, you don't have actual contact with your host unless you ask for that. The best value is during the week with reduced rates. Regardless, you too will love the experience!

I brought my wife here for her birthday. She literally cried when we pulled up. We had the best two days that we have had in a long time. She absolutely loved it and it had us searching for a new house in the country. Will definitely be back!!
