Belmont Motel

Simple, basic room, but it meant our needs. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, the refrigerator was clean, fairly large for a budget motel, and accommodated all our food. The room was small, but everything worked well, and the simple, basic breakfast met our needs. You can't do better for the price in this area.

Nice motel stop on our way to Bar Harbor. Nice, clean room and nice breakfast with toast, egg omelet, muffins, cereal, washes, juices and coffee. Coffee in your room also.|The motel front desk lady was really nice. We arrived around 10 pm and still got a good nice sleep

We have stayed at the Belmont previously (we pass through a few times a year) and were satisfied with the room and service. Not so on this visit, which is likely our last. They recently purchased an older motel across the street and 'renovated' it for their use. After traveling all day, they gave us a room on this new side. Immediately entering, the smell was overwhelming - musty, smoky, dank, etc. We opened the door and turned the A/C on high to clear the air. After we got the car unloaded, we noticed a bunch of flies on the ceiling and walls. Dispatching of what we could, and while wiping one up, the tissue was black from grime on the floor. It was after closing hours for the office, so we were stuck. Looking around, every curve of the floor was crusty with gunk and dirt. Not exagg

We were at a horse show across the street at the fairgrounds so the location was very convenient. Our room was pretty beat up. I spilled a little water on the floor and went to wipe it up with a paper towel and it was black. The floor was very, very dirty. There was a small coffee maker there but no outlet near it to plug it in. There were no sheer curtains on the windows. So unless you wanted folks looking in, you had to keep the blackout curtains closed. The only light in the room were very bright overhead lights behind the headboard. A small table lamp on the nightstand would have worked great. It was very convenient to have a college size refrigerator and a microwave though.

The folks at the front desk at Belmont Motel in Skowhegan, Maine are very pleasant and professional. They were very accommodating and I stayed there in comfort. I recommend this motel to anyone that is looking for a quality motel. May your days, forever be... SUNNY!
