Belle Fourche River Campground

Small but amazing campground! Only $20 per night, which is very affordable. It’s just about a 6-minute drive to the Devils Tower parking lot, and all the staff were super nice and friendly. You can even see the Tower right from the site! The only downside is there are no showers, but we still loved our stay here. Definitely would come again! P.S. There was no free firewood when we were there.

This is a beautiful campground in a beautiful setting inside the National Monument. It is clean, well kept and borders on a prairie dog town for entertainment! All sites are first come first served, and when we were here in late September it stayed pretty full. Sites are level and have a picnic table and fire ring with drinking water and restrooms close by, no showers or dump station. There are 4 handicap campsites next to the restrooms. Trails lead right out of the campground to the tower, visitor center and whole trail system, no driving required if you are reasonably fit. Otherwise it is just a short drive to the visitor center.

We really enjoyed this campground! Every site has a great view of the tower which is a big plus! The sites are good sized. There are so.e nice cottonwood for some shade and wind protection. I still would take care about wind in that part of the country!

Camped here last week and the sites are extremely attractive, with views of devils tower! What was not awesome, the over attentive/ invasive and almost rude camp hosts. The told my daughter who is 14 and an only child she could not ride her skateboard, and it was an almost negligible in size amendment or the rules board- lame. The told us we could not take a second armload of wood as tenters, they said we should not take a group site even though there were two families travelling together but ultimately they let us. Just very mall cop style authoritarians. But otherwise it was a great facility for camping. We were right across from bathroom/ wash house. Flush toilets and sinks, plus potable water and a camp sink for dishes and enough waste receptacles , firewood is a hard maybe. No cash ac

Belle Fourche River Campground is located within the Devil's Tower National Park. Most sites have a spectacular view of Devil's Tower. The campground is next to the prairie dog town and has easy access to the trails. This campground is a first come, first serve. We arrived around 1 p.m., and at least half the sites were available at that time. The sites did fill up quickly as the afternoon progressed. When checking in, grab a registration sheet at the entrance kiosk. Select your site, complete the form, including credit card info, and then deposit the form back at the kiosk.
