Beeker's Grub and Lodging

Our first time having lunch here on our trip to Republic and it was well worth the stop! Will be returning because the food and prices are great. Staff was welcoming and it was a cute little diner.

Stayed at the truck stop next door but came in for breakfast. Two people when we arrived and packed when we left. I had the two eggs and toast, Ole man had the biscuand gravy. Food was decent and came out warm. Coffee is brown water but was hot. Waitress was efficient and pleasant.

We were starving by the time we saw the sign for Corner Cafe, and our breakfast experience was terrific. Good coffee, good food -- my husband had eggs and home fries. The waitress clued me in to their french toast which was great. Clean restroom, too. I didn't read the tripadvisor review on political banter until just now -- there was none the day I visited and we felt welcomed. (I hate being subject to unasked for opinions.) I learned the term "Yoopies" which refers to only those who were born, bred, and stayed on the Upper Peninsula. There's a special Yoopie omelette that contains a local, Italian sausage.

Great food, great service, very little wait time. Had a patty melt and fries, was very good late lunch

Not worth $100.00 a night. They don't make up the room, no phone in room, no coffee in room, clogged drain in sink, no stopper for tub, the tiniest sliver of soap provided. I could go on.
