Bedford Post Inn

Our group of six ladies stayed at the Bedford Post Inn for a cozy January weekend getaway, it was absolutely perfect. The inn is an intimate, 8-room boutique hotel that feels warm, charming, and relaxing from the moment you arrive. The service was excellent — attentive without being overbearing — which really elevated the experience. The rooms were spotless and beautifully maintained. Every bathroom was spacious, and the heated floors — including in the large showers — were such a luxurious touch, especially during the winter. It made getting ready in the mornings extra comfortable. We arrived early and started with lunch at the tavern, then spent a few hours relaxing by the fire pit before enjoying a delicious dinner in the wine room. Our family had an exceptional experience at The Bedford Post Inn. Our Hostess, Susan, made the experience even more lovely with her kind hospitality and expert knowledge of local sight seeing. The Barn breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the outdoor hearth and S’mores. The fall-foliage hike adjacent to the Inn is an easy and pleasurable climb among the tall trees and rock formations. We look forward to returning as we were truly sad to be departing such a lovely place during our tour of New York State.

Last minute reservation after sightseeing in the area and a couple of errands! Extremely accommodating, luxurious rooms and bath, very dog friendly, excellent tavern dinner and breakfast the next morning! Quaint, quality and friendly staff! Josh took my reservation and was accessible all evening, Susan the office manager, was friendly and knowledgeable, Will definitely return when I am in the area!

Our family came here tonight for a birthday dinner. Perhaps they were busy or understaffed, or maybe our server was new to the job. The food was top notch! The service was not unfortunately. Mainly in-between courses we were left waiting for a long time before things would be cleared and then we were not reset for our next course. When our entrees hit the table we sat without silverware for about five minutes before we were able to flag someone down to get silverware to eat. The runners dropped the food at the table and maybe didn’t realize we didn’t have silverware? The server never checked in. I understand things are busy, but it wasn’t a very good feeling staring at your food getting cold. I have been before and had better experiences, but I genuinely feel service could have been better

Incredible dining experience. Wonderful food, beautiful building, fantastic service. Best beet salad I've ever had. Alex, our waiter, was patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. Really special night with family and friends.
