Beaumont Hotel & RV Park

We were very much surprised by Beaumont, Kansas. It's beauty and charm can't be beat. We stayed in the covered wagon while bicycle touring through the area in October. It was a very nice accommodation; glamping at It's finest. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The food was wonderful and the staff very friendly. The biggest thrill was the airplanes coming in on Saturday morning and taxiing through town streets to come to the hotel for breakfast. A 1947 Beechcraft Bonanza came in just at sun up. Such a historic plane, very much like the plane, named Waikiki Beech, flown across country by Bill Odem who set a record on his flight in 1949.

|We had the most amazing stay at the Historic Beaumont Hotel and RV Park! Spending the night in the covered wagon was such a unique and memorable experience. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the attention to detail was perfect, and the shower was fabulous with plenty of hot water. We especially loved listening to the rain on the wagon roof—it was so peaceful.|| Jeanne was the perfect hostess, warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Dining at the hotel café is an absolute must—the coffee, service, and breakfast are hands down the best for miles around. Ask for Ann to wait on you-she is a gem! ||Our only complaint is that our stay wasn’t long enough! We’ll definitely be back. We fell in love with the quiet charm and slower pace of this small community.

I had a two-night stay during the Memorial Day weekend while attending a school reunion in a nearby small town. I was delighted to be able to get a room at The Beaumont. I had not stayed there before but quite a few years ago in traveling I stopped to have lunch at the cafe. Besides good food and friendly service, learning it's history made it an unforgettable place to me. Even though the people who are there now are not the same ones, the food and service are still great. And the people...the Best. They really do make you feel at home, like family! To top it all off, they let me know Saturday night was Karaoke night, that I should join them when I returned from my reunion activities-I did! What a fun night! Was heading in to Wichita. Wichita was full. No rooms available. Best thing that could’ve happened. I found this little diamond in the ruff. A simple clean room well worth the money and a breakfast that was over the top. Service was superb from the initial call to check availability to the service at breakfast and good bye. I didn’t have to worry about interpreting from a broken accent. American quality all the way. Reminded me of home away from all the hustle and bustle. One can even fly into this place.

We were doing a three day motorcycle trip on the FHAT (Flint Hills Adventure Trail) and stayed at the hotel the second night. It was very nice. Built in 1879 but rooms were updated with modern amenities and well appointed. Tons of photos and memorabilia all over the hotel that tells its story. A plane landed and taxied up to the hotel while we were there. And finally, the restaurant, it was great. Chicken fried steak was awesome! They just opened a tab for each of us for the evening and we settled up at the end. Would definitely stay again!
