Bear's Pine Woods Campground & Resort

I have had an excellent start to my first season here. Every time I ask for firewood, gravel or propane fills, it is done immediately. Donna in the office, Barry (Owner) and Adam have always been pleasant and attentive. The season started out with a meet and greet pizza party, great way to introduce myself and start to get to know others. My family took part in the golf cart decoration contest and won, although there were so many great other great ones as well. Then the next day we were one of the host families of the camp crawl. We had so much fun meeting new people and starting the season off right. So many great events planned throughout the season making the campground fun for all ages.

This is an accurate and fair review so, I will share the good as well as the bad. the bad first. In the event you continue through the bad, I will then list the good.||||The BAD:||Our campsite had raw sewage running through it! The guy who runs the CG was very nice and moved us immediately so he could fix the problem. That said, we only moved across the dirt road to a higher elevation and he never fixed the Issue. ||||Our new campsite had another sewer line that was open and no cap! I smelled horrible! All site have waste hook ups and from what we saw, many were uncapped and broken. ||||Then there were the flies! OMG there were flies everywhere! I am assuming from the sewage problem. ||||The showers were free but not enough hot water. I had a hot shower one night but no one else did in a g

I have friends that stay there I love this place it's one of the best little retreats matter of fact I like it so much if I could buy the place I would.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, so easy to deal with and pleasant. Site was large and easily accessible. Reasonable rates. We would return.

Nice campground for the most part but the road in to the campground is hurrendous it is really bad .. the gate entrance is also really short if you are in a mini car its fine but when you are in a truck pulling a camper the operator to run the gate is down by the bottom of your door so its a real problem trying to push the buttons from inside your truck other than that its not a bad place
