Beach Colony Resort

We absolutely love the Beach Colony Resort and return here often, it’s truly our go-to place whenever we visit Wildwood Crest. Every stay is consistently excellent, which is why we keep coming back. The resort is always spotlessly clean, and the beds are incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and feel at home. One of our favorite parts is that it’s dog-friendly, so we can bring our dog, Winnie, who is always just as happy to be there as we are. The location is perfect—close to the beach and boardwalk—yet still quiet and relaxing. It’s clear that the property is very well cared for, and that attention to detail really shows. We had a great time at Beach Colony! Our 4 children loved the pool and the slide. The room was spacious and the entire place was very clean. Leslie was very helpful and was able to beat online prices when I booked over the phone! We love going to Wildwood and this was our first time at the Beach Colony, we will definitely be back!

Positives - within 1 block of the beach. Service satisfactory. A few rooms have a side view of the ocean. We did not use the pool. Free parking. Problems - We had an upstairs room and the stairs are steep and narrow. Fortunately there were side rales on either side. The walls are thin and sounds carry. We could hear our neighbor's TV which excited our dog who then barked so the neighbors turned up their TV - a bad cycle. Our double not queen sized beds were on rollers and during night almost fell when the bed moved after going back to bed. Room expensive because of location, but they charged for coffee pods. Never had to pay for coffee anywhere before. We would not stay there again.

The trip was going well until we were threatened to be kicked out over our SERVICE dog on the second day in front of multiple guests in an embarrassing interaction with a staff member I think named Leslie. My family was walking down to the beach, we made it about 20 ft down the street when we realized we forgot wipes/poo bags for the 2 dogs (one service animal, one emotional support) and I walked my mother back to grab them. Staff was outside and called me by name to say the dog is not with my mother and per ADA has to be with her at all times. We expressed that she’s just down the road, you can wave at her and we just needed to get our doggy bags and she repeated the same phrase so I tried to explain that we’re walking back to our dog now and my moms levels were already taken for the morn

At the last minute I needed an affordable place to stay that welcomed dogs. Lucky for me, the Beach Colony had a room available for the nights I needed. I love Wildwood Crest, and I like to be as far away from the bustle of the boardwalk as possible. Both the motel and the surrounding area are *quiet* and less than a block away from the beach. I love a classic motel and the funkier the bedspreads and the bathroom tile, the better. The pool was lovely and the staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. I hope to stay there again!
