Baymont by Wyndham Pompton Plains/Wayne

I would not recommend this hotel, as my room was incredibly dirty and in disrepair. The staff were lovely, but my room had broken and damaged lampshades, dirty tub, gross mirrors and floors, the floors were also lifting or sunk in several areas. My furniture was damaged, the desk was standing on hopes and dreams, so I had to work from the bed. The floor I was on smelled of weed, and there was people “soliciting” in their rooms. Rusted hardware, damaged walls, and dirty furniture were the icings on this cake. You won’t have bad interaction with the staff but unless price is an issue for you, I wouldn’t stay here based on how little care and investment the property owners are putting into this place. Not sure how Wyndham thought it was reasonable to license out their name to this hotel.

Positive: Cleanliness and amenities and definitely location to everything Negative: The floorboards in room was lifted up and sinking in 1 spot. Chose the suite in the hotel for lounging area so our 16 yr old had separate sleeping area, BUT DISAPPOINTED WITH SOFA BED IT WAS OLD SPRING MATTRESS HARD TO SLEEP, toilet seat no fit

2nd stay since last snow storm. This time was better. TV volume worked and with even More snow this time vs last which was the AFC championship game. The lot and Steps were cleaner than last time which wasnt done. The Breakfast room had heat this time too. Much Better stay

We stayed for one night as we were traveling and needed a stop over to rest and shower. We used our Wyndham membership for discount so our total was less than $120 for the night. Upon arrival 7pm we were met by a gentleman at the front desk. He was not the nicest person somewhat distant definitely not personable and somewhat rude. We got checked in as we did not make reservations online. We entered room it was clean and tidy but definitely is worn but not terrible. Definitely could use an update of drapes, carpet, ect. We noticed our room did not have the TV remote we called the gentleman at the front desk and he said he would bring it down, after about 20 minutes we walked down he had it sitting on the counter and got a little defensive on why he had not brought it to the room we t

The reviews were a little scary but this place was conveniently located for me and cheap! However, I was surprised the room was decently clean and the place overall was good. It’s a $100 room so I don’t expect white glove service and an immaculate room along with facilities plus a breakfast. If you want perfection, go elsewhere and pay double or triple for the same accommodations with a different name. I will certainly return when a need arises. Plus, no bedbugs here or homeless folks!!!
