Baymont by Wyndham Northwood

This hotel deserves the 2 start hotel rating it has on Google. If you enjoy staying in a room that has an extreme essence of previous guests, then it's the place for you. We had a room in the "non smoking" area, the smell of cigarettes is the first thing you smell entering the hall. The room I had was interesting to say the least... my first thought when I entered the room was someone was living in this room and they quickly made the bed because they had guests. I found hair on the bed, stain on quite literally everything (curtains, towels, shower curtain, carpet), sauce on the remote, a phone that wasn't plugged into the wall, and two completely useless lamps (there wasnt any outlets). All it looked like housekeeping did was put new towels in the bathroom and changed the bedding that had

Positive: The staff was very helpful. The beds were great. Negative: No working phone in the room. TV got no channels. NONE of the outside doors were locked. Our first room had a rusty bathtub. Pool hasn’t been available since Covid. Dirty entrances. I expected more from Wyndham!!

Location is great. Atmosphere is quiet. Rooms are very nice. Atmosphere is very uplifting. Have plenty of parking all the way around hotel. Northwood police are always coming around to make sure everyone has a safe stay here

This hotel looks very run down and dirty outside. They messed up my room type reservation then tried to upcharge me at check in for the room I originally booked. There are burn marks in the carpet, the valances are stapled on top of the old ones and the bedside lights are hooked up to a surge protector thats tucked inside the headboard of the bed. The hallways are dirty with cigarette burns on the walls and floors. I would give it zero stars if I could. The only reason I stayed is because I booked online and didnt want to pay a cancellation fee. I will NOT stay here again.

Well... the room is not good . The door to the room that is connected to us, DOESNT LOCK!! Meaning, if someone is staying in that room, the can litterally walk into our room. Hotel is run down, the neighborhood its in isnt bad. It right off I-75. So I would only stay here if nothing else is open OR if you cheat on your significant other and only have limited time and even then, this hotel isn't worth it.
