Customer Reviews
Pretty sure there were 5 spots. No one else was there when we arrived. There was problem with the electricity but we were able to cool off the RV with generators. Very quiet and peaceful overnight on our journey. Thank you so much Bayard NE! Included the obligatory Nebraska cornfield that was next to the overnight spaces. It was a real treat.
What a stunningly beautiful park! Manicured lawns like you might normally only find on a golf course. Excellent place to walk or have a picnic lunch under the covered patio. Across the street are three RV sites that the city has provided for free for two nights. Each additional night is $10. The lots are graveled and have 30/50 amp hookups and water.
Where on Earth can you stay peacefully, surrounded by vast open land and across from a very nice park that is dog friendly and people friendly. Just the fact that BayardCity offers this nice spot with water, a toilet and electric hookup makes me consider moving here. Thank you whoever put this into action. Nice restaurants in town, gas station and very friendly people. Right down the road from Chimney Rock and a wonderful drive to Scott's Bluff, Carhenge and the Old Oregon Traill Road. This is a little gem of a place!
We wanted to share our gratitude with the city of Bayard for being so kind as to letting people camp for free for 2 nights with electricity and water. This is a one of a kind place! With Chimney rock in the background this park is so well maintained quiet and peaceful. Thank you so much for your hospitality! ❤️
I use to be a businessman before my RV Nomad journey the past year and you know how to stimulate business in a clearly dying downtown area? Allow RVers to park free on a hookup for a couple days! Thank you, Bayard! I just walked my dog through downtown and I was both saddened and optimistic. Seems our modern way of life has had a traumatic impact on our nations small towns and small businesses. I saw condemned retail buildings, abandoned storefronts and a few businesses trying to make it. And I also saw my two neighbors at the City Park walking around, spending some money and talking with people. It was almost like the RVers outnumbered the locals walking around, but the good news is they are walking around! Visit a small town that has seen better eras! Turn the tide 🌊
