Bay View Campground

Beautiful views at the beach, a short walk down, few people and lots of space, felt like we had the place to ourselves. Sunsets are spectacular. There are some biting flies and mosquitoes for sure so wear light colored clothing and bring your Deet spray. Towels are handy to wrap around your legs when they get vicious. The bathrooms are clean and well kept. Water pump works well.

Campground was nice but crowded for a weekday, me n my girlfriend debated on staying there as they only had a few spots open most were reservation only. Litteraly just parked our vehicle and let our dogs get out and stretch and make a quick sandwich and find a better campsite, no longer than 15 mins the campground host came to the site we were at after explaining to him 3 times that we were going to stay but found a better location that suited us, not only was he not understanding us after explaining it clearly but made a rude comment about us not looking like we were going when our vehicle was fully packed nothing was out and was putting our dogs away to drive off

Not sure what the name of the DNR worker who is working today (July 1, 2025) but my boyfriend and I were going to stay here but after this experience i never will. We circled the site found one we liked that wasent reserved so circled back around grabbed an envelope. I filled it out while my boyfriend put our dogs on the lesh and made us sandwiches, we sat and ate. In that time I found a site on Google maps closer to our destination and was bigger so we cleaned up our mess (lunch meat, cheese, bread and mayo) and were getting the dogs back into the car to leave then this DNR worker pulled up. I informed him we were planning on staying here but found another campground and were leaving. His response? "You can't park there if you're not staying here" i told him i know and repeated that

What an awsome little campground ! Super senic views and wonderful more private spots if you aren't interested in being super near your neighbors. Good price and plenty of campsite room. Great water access as well!

We had a great stay! Will definitely return and be sure to get one of the lake lots. Hosts Kathy and her husband are wonderful and do a great job at keeping this a clean and quiet camp. Thanks guys!
