Bay Motel

What an unexpectedly cute roadside motel from a bygone era. The decor was sweet! The room was clean & quiet. A lot of thought went into the room to make guests comfortable. I had an enjoyable night's stay.

Decent and relatively inexpensive motel in an area filled with pricey resorts and B&Bs. Strangely enough, I was the only patron on a Saturday night - granted the weather was abysmal with record rainfall all day long. ||I reserved a room on-line but noted that I wanted to check in early. When my reservation was confirmed, there was no mention of the early check in so I called. The website states a 3p check in time but when I called, the office is only open until 3p - admittedly there isn't a tremendous demand BUT if the office closes at 3p, the website should reflect this fact as well. ||Upon arrival, both of the owners were in the office. Shower did not work. Ran out of hot water at the sink shortly after I started my sponge bath. 4 bags of coffee one creamer no sugar. Beds were comfortable room was clean.

Visited for a quick weekend getaway. Rooms AND bathrooms were clean. Maxwell house coffee and Coffee Mate creamer were provided in the room. Heat worked GREAT! I was worried about this with it being so cold last weekend. No draft at all. It was mentioned that the motel is under new management and you can tell that they are making updates and repairs. The beach decor adds a cute and comfy touch!

Checking in was a breeze! Rooms are very clean! Some people say the location is in the middle of “nowhere” well, that’s the exact reason you would be here lol to come and stay, you would need a reason to be in this quaint town. Only thing(s) I would suggest are, different soap, shampoo, and the beds are quite hard. Other than that, it’s a 10 star for being a “motel in the middle of nowhere” Definitely would stay again!
