Baraga Lakeside Inn

The rooms are decent and comfortable overall. They were clean and had the basics needed for a short stay, and the beds were comfortable enough. The lakeside location is a nice bonus and adds to the experience. However, the hotel definitely needs some updating. The rooms and common areas feel dated, and a few upgrades would make a big difference. While nothing was terrible, it doesn’t quite meet the standard of more modern hotels. Overall, it’s an okay place to stay if you’re looking for something affordable in a good location, but it could be much better with renovations and updates.

The services at the hotel were all great! From check in to check out... We didn't get to do what we wanted to because of the weather. But because the staff was so helpful, checking the weather for us, etc. we still had a really nice time. |The food at the restaurant was great too, and the fact that it's right there at the hotel was such a bonus in inclement weather!

Our waitress was friendly and all around very cool lady. The breakfast food is excellent. Blueberry Pancakes are enormous and delicious. The biscuits and gravy was very good. But let me take a minute to tell you about the best reuben sandwich ive ever had the privilege of enjoying. It was perfectly toasted rye bread stuffed with corned beef, a heap of warm sauerkraut, gooey layers of melted swiss cheese, and a generous dose of dressing. I was full 3/4 of the way through but it was so good I finished it. Honestly I should've ordered a second one to take with me.

Elegant location for this super clean hotel with a dining room spacious and clean. Dont bother with a 'balcony room' as the balcony is only large enough for two people to standup in. The view from the large sliding glass doors is worth booking that side of the hotel. Very quiet halls with fast elevator, good water pressure, and coffee in the morning. Dinner portions in the dining room are very large. Don't choose the whitefish as it was overly salted instead of delicate seasoning. Nice draft beer selection. Lots of older locals at dinner not afraid to talk loudly and even have committee meetings next to your table.

Y’all, I love this place. For an Independent hotel that my family has been coming to for what feels like 84 years ☠️🤣 it’s just a fun little townie hotel with its own gossip, culture, mini battles and I’m obsessed! The night manager Trinity is a G, that’s all I have to say. I think people might underestimate her bc she’s not America’s Next Top Model, but in MY house, we like the big girls. 4 life!! By33eeeee
