Balsam Lake Lodge

It was a lovely very homey vibes until we were woken up 7 times in the middle of the night by the fire alarm, which was not your average house fire alarm this was the loudest thing i’ve ever heard with bright flashing lights (think zombie apocalypse) with no way to disable it, despite there being no fire and no smoke. Gorgeous views tho!

Beautiful and peaceful, this is a quiet and relaxing place to unplug from the chaos of the world and just admire and enjoy the wonders of nature. No cable, no phone, and no internet let you escape and unwind. The lodge itself is large and comfortable with room for 16 guests. The views are simply magnificent.

A fantastic retreat from society. Note that there is no cell or Internet service there, only a landline that can only call local numbers (although anyone can call in), so make plans for how people can contact you (as you won't be able to contact them).

What a wonderful place this is. Me and my family came here to visit and get away for a few days just at the perfect time. The lake was beautiful and the caretaker was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of trout fishing available from a short walk or steps down to the pier. 16 twin beds in 5 rooms, 3 rooms of 4 bunk style and 2 rooms of 2 twins. Linens were available, as well as soap, toilet paper and cleaning supplies there was also plenty of firewood. The water was very hot. 3 1/2 baths. One of the bathrooms was handicap accessible with a walk in shower. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook except Tin foil, which the caretaker was able to hook us up last minute! Also has a coffee pot, coffee urns, dishwasher and stove and oven. Plenty of table space for everyone to eat together

This place is amazing!! We rent it every year.
