My name is Jeff, I'm a recently retired combat Aviation Veteran of over 30 years. I recently stayed here, at the Bal Harbour. I did review the "reviews" before going down to Wildwood, having never stayed there before. The reviews are trash, honestly. If you want fancy, then pay the price. We went there to be with family. The rooms are typical Wildwood. I've been staying in Wildwood for decades. 99% of the reviews are people who are always looking for something in life they will never find. That being said; the room was fine, balcony facing the ocean, the bathroom had everything necessary. The staff was absolutely amazing/fabulous and beyond. We were there, as I said, off season, but the restaurant still has limited hours. There's nothing wrong with the elevator. Saturday, all of our famil

Positive: Oceanview even tho the water was far away from the beginning of the sand. Negative: Hotel personal in our room when we were out. Front desk no help at all.Only 3 luggage racks for 2 building,,,,insane we had to bring all our stuff up 6 floors.Elevator so small and very HOT almost had a panic attack if it got stuck.and alot more....

Going in I was very nervous given the reviews and it was exactly what you would expect. It's a 3 star hotel. Here are some things, good and bad, that stood out: - hotel lobby lights were off and chandelier is never on, gives very very weird vibes for when you walk in and want a bright nice vacation experience - uncomfortable mattresses - weird blankets - like a random brown throw blanket - very dated hotel -no balcony light outside - we had Room E3 oceanfront and the view from our balcony was beautiful. Not directly on the waves but closest you're going to get to the ocean and basically on the beach itself. Can't see anything but ocean. - toilet is low and toilet paper under sink, we just took the roll out and left it on the side. - no tissues and horrible quality toilet paper - bird poop

My criteria for a room at the beach is clean, comfortable, and oceanfront. Bal Harbour met that criteria. Yes, the room is a little outdated (although the flooring looks newer). The kitchenette has seen better days and I couldn't get a pot of water to fully boil no matter what burner I used, but it served our needs. The bathroom was outdated but clean and the shower curtain looked newer without any mildew or stains. The beds were comfortable with clean sheets although the pillows were thin and not to our liking. Our room was on the north side and it was quiet. The balcony had a beautiful view of the ocean. The pools and pool area were incredible with direct access to the beach. The staff were friendly and housekeeping was in daily to remove trash and provide fresh towels. On the third day

Have been staying here on and off for a decade, so I am not just going off one experience here but that it’s been going downhill and after this last time we won’t be back anytime soon. It just is not clean, they upgraded the carpet to floors this year but if you’re still not going to bother to clean that just makes it worse! Sand and dirt all over the floor the minute we walked in our room, refrigerator had crumbs and dirt inside, just basic cleaning things. The elevators look like they haven’t been cleaned once since we first stayed 10 yrs ago. We’re the kind of people that don’t care about amenities, just need a place to shower and sleep; the building being old is fine but dirty and unkempt is another. The location is fantastic and love the private balconies, likely the only reason they
