Wow! This KOA was the best one I've ever been to! They have two pools,( one is indoor and one is outdoor) a jumping pillow, some basketball hoops, a volleyball net, a store that has ice cream, lots of laundry/bathrooms, and lots more! The staff were also very helpful and this KOA has a great location! Right across the street is Fort Stevens with a lake and beach access! Overall this is a amazing KOA!
We booked a Kabin, which was clean but needs to be updated with some modern amenities (coffee maker, TV, complimentary items, etc.) and not rely totally on the location. We have stayed in many KOA locations, including one recently at Klamath Falls which was excellent, and this was on the lower end. Initially the service was great as we received an early check in notice text, but we could not reach a live person on the phone after making several attempts, although text messaging with another individual seemed to work fine. This was not a concern when notifying the individual through text. Location is excellent for those wanting to visit nearby Astoria or the Lewis and Clark National Historical Park.
They Charge $7.50 Per Person to anyone coming to visit you ? We had friends from Cannon Beach come by for 1 hr. They stoped them at the top and made each person in the car pay$7.50 each. RV spot about $120 a night for us plus all the hidden fees and then this. What a joke we were embarrassed and won’t be back.
Update admin wrote back and was very kind. I’ve visited since my last post and I’m glad to see it was in better shape! Oh we love this place, we do Older review It definitely needs some TLC during the off season. Deep cleaning, power washing, most games supplied are missing pieces or cards. From the pool house, game rooms and bathrooms I was a little taken back about the state this KOA is currently in. Even if it is the off season it should be better taken care of for the paying guests. We often come here and we love this place! It's just this last time I was noticing the attention it desperately needs. With love!
The grounds are awesome. Very kid friendly play area and lots of things to do. Ultimately I left disappointed by the overall customer service that was provided. No employees were solution focused and often responded with a simple yes or no. It took additional questioning to get a resolution on any issue big or small. For example, we needed to make change for the laundry machines, when we asked the store clerk for quarters, he simply said he’s out… we further prompted “is there a place to go for quarters?” At which point we were redirected to the game room. A similar scenario occurred before our trip ever started. We were hoping to extend our trip, when I called to inquire we were told we can’t extend. We booked an additional night at the sate park across the street. Only to find out what
