Wide open and beautiful day for taking a long hot walk between sites and the Blackfoot River and shared the biggest space with other like minded people who were there to enjoy every bit of it left.
Planed to stay there today July 21, 2025. Drove by and Aspen Grove Road was completely closed at Highway 200. Could not get to campground.
Nice quiet campground. Out spot was right on the Blackfoot river. Caught a few cutthroats.
Great spot to pitch a tent. Beautiful scenery. Lots of tress and bushes between sites to give privacy. A couple vault toilets and a few water spigots. About 10mins east of town and less than 2 mins off the highway. Easy access and a great stop on a road trip.
The campground is usually open through hunting season. It has back in spots for RVs but no water,sewer, or electric hook-ups. Today I took the dog down there because my road was so muddy and the road at aspen grove is much better.
