Arrowhead Campground

Here’s a warm, polished review you can post as is. ⸻ Arrowhead Campground at Lake Tobesofkee is absolutely pristine. The campground is incredibly clean and well maintained, with very nice bath facilities that clearly get regular attention. It’s perfect for tent camping and also has pull through sites that easily accommodate large RVs. Being surrounded by the lake makes it feel peaceful and tucked into nature, with beautiful views and plenty of space to relax. This is truly a no frills campground in the best way possible. Quiet, calm, and exactly what we were looking for. There’s a nice playground for kids, easy fishing access, and lots of nature all around. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, unplug, and just enjoy the peace and quiet. We couldn’t have asked for a better c

We stayed in its sister park last year (Claystone) this year after reviewing many Youtube reviews we thought we would try this one. We hit a home run. It is a jewel of a park with lots to do. Hiking, biking, swimming. The check-in office was being rebuilt so the gentleman was welcoming all to the park from a portable shed (You work with what you have, right?) we had site 44, very private, the way we like it but with a slither of a view of the beautiful lake. Someone left a lot of animal food on the site so we had 100’s of geese poop piles to clean up before we could back in our RV. After setting up i noticed a sizable amount of trash littering most of the site (see picture) other then that everyone was nice. I did notice unlike the area of Florida we live most Georgians did not wear masks.

Good campground. Great location. Close to bike trails and the lake. I gave it four stars because of the misleading description of the site. I looked like all the sites were just updated with new fire rings and picnic tables. Parking was good. Make note not all tent sites have water. They say they have water, but they do not. We were at #45 and it had electricity but no water. #46 had water. #47 and #48 no water. #49 had water. if you bring your own water or don't mind carting your water this may not be an issue.

Great stop on our roadtrip from Minnesota to Florida. It would be fun to spend more than one night there! Maybe next time. It has a full hook up, which we needed. Great lake with fishing and activities.

The campground is fantastic. Bathrooms are clean and the staff are excellent. Grounds are well kept. The problem is theft! Last time I was here, my daughter’s electric bike, a neighbors kid’s bike and several fishing poles were stolen. This time, several fishing poles again. They refuse to lock the gate at night because of the fishing dock and use weak excuses for not having a key code entry. The surrounding neighborhoods aren’t the best and Macon is depressed more now than ever. If they won’t take security seriously, it’s time to move on. It’s not worth the fear and hassle of locking everything up at night. This will be our last trip here.
