Argosy Casino & Hotel

First time visit recently - based on some of the reviews we were expecting nearly the worst but instead enjoyed a very wonderful 3 nights. Check-in was quick and easy, front desk staff were always super nice and helpful. Although the rooms are dated, ours was clean, fridge/TV/remote/lights/plumbing all working, the beds fresh and comfortable, and the spacious waterfall shower was amazing. Special shout out to our server Anthony at Gram & Dun - he's the best! and the meals were very good and they had nice cold fresh milk to go with my breakfast brunches. The service and food at The Sportsbook was equally great. I have been very loyal to Argosy for many years. The slots and table games are plentiful here. I used to have a lot of fun here. On my recent visits to Argosy, I feel the odds of winning and being able to play for longer on my gaming bankroll have been quite challenging. It has been like this over the past few months. Many of my favorite machines are no longer on the casino floor. On many of my most recent visits, I feel Argosy has not been the best choice. I always hope for the win. It just does not seem to happen as often as it used to. The fun factor is gone.

This place was a great surprise. We have never been there before and from checking in with a wonderful young lady to the rooms and Casino. It was a wonderful place to stay. Even went to the patio and listened to the young man singing. He was very going and engaged the crowd.

My wife and I went to Argosy Casino last night planning a mini weekend getaway. We arrived late, checked into our room, and before we even unpacked, everything went wrong. I took a shower while my wife laid down on the bed. Moments later, she started screaming. There were bed bugs crawling on the bed. I immediately took multiple photos and videos, and I even picked one up with a napkin to show staff. We packed up immediately and went to the front desk to report it. We waited about 15 minutes for a manager to come out. When he finally did, his first words were “Is there a problem?” — no concern or apology. I showed him the photos and videos. Turn the music up! So boring on the floor, can’t hear music. Employees are very friendly. Restrooms are always clean. Bar has long lines at time and the bartenders aren’t too happy. Overall good gaming experience. Wish they had the classic Fireball (Firelink?) machines. Also: soooo smoky from cigarettes. Would be nice if they went smoke free like northern states have. Employees would be much healthier! And guests a lot happier.
