Arbutus Motel & Cabins

Rooms and cabins are well maintained and clean. Love the retro decor mixed with local photography and cabin decor. Al and Shelley we great hosts. Enjoyed our girls get together last year and looking forward to our second this spring. Cabins have their own fire pit and rooms have a communal one as well. Very nice patio on the motel for relaxing. Great location, close to Russell Park which has a beach and boat launch, lots of hiking in the area. Wazee Lake and Casino only a short drive away.

This motel is perfect for those wanting to be able to see Hatfield on foot. Our family was camping, and we were only a 20 minute walk from their campground. Restaurants are also walkable. We had a little problem finding the owners of the place so we could check in. It's a husband and wife team, and they were busy cleaning after departing customers. The room was really nice, a bit different than the standard motel rooms, high ceilings. There was a fridge in the room. In the mornings, the owner would brew a couple of pots of coffee for the guests, and there was vending there too. I've stayed here before, and would definitely do it again. They are strictly no pets, but they have a big old dog that welcomes you. If you don't want to stay in a motel room they also offer cabins.

Great relaxing place to stay!! The rooms are very clean. Al and Shelley are fantastic hosts.

Do not walk away from this Motel, RUN!!! We stayed here 3 nights to ride on the trails The man who owns this place was very pleasant telling us where to park and the in and outs of the motel. Then there's the wife! She tells us to move our trucks 10 feet ahead we had 3 trucks. My son had asked her if she was expecting a lot of other trucks and she went off! What does it matter how many are coming? My son asked this question out of curiosity. She took it all out of proportion. Then she had my son move his truck in back of one of our other trucks which did not make any sense at all. There was plenty of room. Plus we had to move it again when we loaded our machines back up. It was just stupid! It ended up only one more truck came. And he parked where my son was in the first place. It seemed

Alan, As the owner, you should not be leaving your own ratings to boost your google score. The management is in need of review on how people are treated! **DO NOT PAY TO STAY AT THIS PLACE! ***RUN! The wife will watch your every move, will come up yelling at you. Will tell you she is going to have you leave and not give a refund. This is why they make you sign that contract, so even if you leave you can not cancel any additional nights.
