Applegate Cove Campground

Small but beautiful campground. Lovely view of the lake. We had a nice level cement slab and nice picnic table. We will definitely keep this place at the top of our list for traveling through.

Great little stopover campsite. The sites are very nice, but due to President Leon Skum's staff cuts, the bathrooms are a mess. All the men's toilets are literally covered in feces.

Beautiful campground surrounded by nature. Great place to camp with many different sites to choose from. Moderately clean restrooms. Small but fun park for kids to play. Plenty of fishing opportunities. The sunsets are absolutely stunning. 10/10 recommend.

Closest camp ground to the dam. Fishing hit and miss. Fish only bite on live perch. No- electric camp site $14, goes up from there. Not a single sign that says no fires, yet we were told no fires allowed. Gate closes 10pm-6am. Nats everywhere, especially by water. Dump station a ways down the road. Local gas station sucks. Fill up in town off I-40. Casey's has 100% and 10% ethanol fuel.

Old and tired, like me. Roads and pads are crumbling, picnic tables are concrete and many years old. But water and electric work, and you can’t beat the price if you’re passing through as we were. Trees are good for shade on all sites.
