Apple Canyon Yellow Post Camp Site #2

I appreciate the yellow flag camping. Came here for a time of solitude. Got what I came for on a Sunday night. There were people nearby but not visible from my spot. Spots were not flat but I just slept in the car. Crisp clear night. It did get quite cold in the beginning of October. Only issue is with the uneven unkept road. Maybe dig some rain channels?

Roads are a little rough to pull the camper through but doable at a very slow pace. Campsite 1 offers the most direct sunlight for solar charging. Campsite 3 offers a short walk to a babbling creek. Campsite 2 was too rough of a road and not worth pulling the camper through. This is a dry camping area. Seems to be a popular place and always someone nearby. If you are looking for solitude this might not be the right campsite for you. However we were unable to find any other approved BLM or Forest land to camp on nearby legally.

Nice little easily accessible site close to Lake Hemet - so not as quiet as some other yellow post sites nearby on Thomas Mountain. The fire ring and picnic table are in good shape, with plenty room for 2-3 tents and some good hammock hanging options.

Post 2 and 3 are a bit more protected then 1.

So nice and free. Everytime we've been here it has been great. Private and wooded.
