Appalachian Mountain Cabins

We had a wonderful stay at the mountain retreat cabin #2. The photos don’t do it justice! The cabin is so cute, well built, spacious, immaculate, and perfectly situated on the mountain. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating even for last minute changes and requests. We can’t wait to come back!

We really liked staying here. The two of us spent a week in the one-bedroom Cabin #1 Cozy Cottage. The place was spotless, had everything we needed, and was very quiet. This cabin is one of four perched on the side of a hill; it had a delightful view out over the distant wooded hills. All four cabins are well spaced apart. Each day, we walked from our cabin along the quiet gravel road the half-mile to Natural Tunnel State Park where we hiked on well-maintained trails. We found the descriptions and photos on the Appalachian Mountain Cabins website to be accurate.

We stayed here for the weekend while we attended the Speedway Classic baseball game in Bristol. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Communication with the owners was outstanding and they even stopped by to check on us the day we got there. The cabin was clean, comfortable, affordable, and my family really enjoyed the games, fire pit, whirlpool tub, and rocking on the front porch. We even had a visit from "Billy" (our nickname) the goat one morning, which we all thought was great. It was minutes away from Natural Tunnel State Park, which we explored one day and we also ate lunch at the Red Stone Diner just down the road. A short drive to Duffield if you need to get groceries or anything else. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a great cabin experience in the mounta

What a great hideaway spot tucked in the mountains! We came for a long Memorial Day weekend and used the Deer Meadow cabin as a home base while exploring the area. The cabin looks a little rough on the outside, but it is super comfy and modern inside. It was also very, very clean! Most of the comforts of home were provided, so we really didn't have to bring much aside from food. We stayed when the weather was wonky (it was warm one day, but chilly the next) but the cabin was easy to keep cool or warm as needed. The owners were easy to reach by cell phone as needed, and we were able to buy firewood on site for the fire pit. The gravel driveway for the cabins is a bit steep and windy, which we easily handled with our SUV but it might be tougher in small cars. Each cabin has its own yard area

This cabin was what we needed in our lives! It was located in a quiet area, it was easy to get to and it was very homely. I felt like I was at home in the cabin! The owners live on the property so they are right there if you need them! I like how the cabins were designed so that people in the other cabins can’t necessarily see you when you are out back grilling or just relaxing. The design was made for privacy, comfort and relaxation. The cabins were neat and clean! This should be a place to go to on your bucket list! Check them out for sure!
