Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort

Small family oriented ski area with friendly staff. This place reminds me of the great skiing I did in Utah in the mid 80s. So appreciative that places like this still exist. Spent 4 nights at the camping spots right by the lift. There is also excellent acces to backcountry skiing when conditions allow.

The runs were SO fun and we had a great time by the end of the day! We did have to get rentals because we were visiting from another state & the people working the rental shop were very unpleasant & rude. So sad that they were not nice because the snowboarding was GREAT! We had our friend from Germany visiting with us, and she was so surprised at how rude everyone in the rental shop was. It was sad that this had to be her experience):

I’m not sure ALMR could do anything to make this place more fun. For young, old, Nordic, alpine, sledding, dogging, chilling, camping with fun folks, what else do you want? Go.

We were treated incredibly well by everyone at Anthony Lakes. We usually visit once a year and love it there. Honestly, it's the people who work there that make it so special. We had THE BEST experience in the rental and repair shop. We had a bunch of kids and adults in our group renting and they were all taken care of with kindness and humor (getting a bunch of kids into ski boots is no joke). I later went in to have my skis tuned up and I was blown away by the meticulousness of the tune up. My bases look brand new -- they were really beat up. We love the ski patrol too! My daughter fell and injured her arm. They were so kind and gentle with her. She was in good spirits even though she was in pain and I credit that to the ski patrol. I am so thankful for this resort, for their whole staff. Without fail the rental shop guys are great. We come in with 200 kids and they maintain a great attitude, they're knowledgeable and friendly. Even when I come in just for my own stuff they are great. The food is good, on the high side but considering everything it's still worth it. The only thing that would make it better is if they were open more. Maybe a day just for tubing lol
