Anderson Lake Lodge

Lodge was VERY nice. It had everything we needed, crock pot, bowls utensils. Only malfunction we had was an outlet in the kitchen that wasn't working. As far as not having A/C... I'm not sure how effective it would be with the doors constantly open with people going in and out and we had plenty of a breeze to circulate air in the house, and it could use more outlets in the kitchen and the grill was a safety hazard. The bottom is open and if you don't put some foil to cover the holes flame drop on to the propane cylinder very dangerous. There were plenty of towels but would advise bringing one for the beach area and a lawn chair for yourself. The fishing was great. Absolutely stunning property surrounding a beautiful cabin. It's large open concept makes it great for family getaways. The endless fun amenities really make the place a special vacation.

Note under new ownership so older reviews may no longer reflect current state. Made a reservation and a put down a non-refundable 50% deposit, then got an email a month later the owner presumably asked the property manager to send saying that they would be enforcing a higher rate than what had been reserved with a substantial deposit. There was an option to cancel made available given they couldn’t force a higher rate unilaterally. In my opinion the owner is not trustworthy, would not book here. Never know if the owner might decide to just cancel on you or ask for more than what had been agreed upon (as they did here). Also worth noting if you’re going skiing this is ~30 minute drive to Ski Brule per Google Maps.

Great view overlooking your private lake with very good fishing with a dock, boats, and a sandy beach. Quiet. Perfect for star gazing, meteor showers, sunsets and hikes in the woods. The bed was extremely comfortable.

All the best for our group of 15. Ski season, this very comfortable retreat with hot tub was perfect after cold day skiing. 20min through Iron River to very family friendly Ski Brule. Anderson Lake is beautiful. Scenic. Deer and bunnies around lake's edge. Thick ice made it easy to for a great, no wind, stroll to the other side and back. Perfect for cross-country skiis too. Took an extra coffee pot ourselves. Fridge was big enough for our pre-planned prepared dinners for all. Lots of puzzles and games already there. Grill outside was easy. Needed extra dish towels, but all other supplies were mostly there. Plenty of parking. Thank you owners for renting this! Recent remodeling, painting, decorating looks great.
