Anderson Chesterfield Travel Inn

I had a very disturbing experience at this motel due to bed bugs in the room. I was bitten multiple times and personally found live bed bugs on the bed, which I recorded on video and even kept as evidence. This is a serious hygiene and health issue. A paying guest should never have to deal with something like this. Despite the clear evidence, the situation was extremely stressful and disrupted my stay completely. I strongly advise future guests to be cautious and thoroughly check the room before staying here. Cleanliness and guest safety need immediate attention. I told the owners about it and showed the video to which they replied, we don't know if it’s from here or else where. I showed the time stamp and location on my phone but they arrogantly refused to acknowledge it.

Pros: Clean (I inspected two rooms prior to stay and both were clean w/no smoking smell), crisp linen but bring your own pillow, comfortable mattress. WiFi free, HBO and satellite TV. I do know that some rooms offer mini fridge and microwave in room. Friendly staff. I believe it may be family run, very hospitable to me. Not always at desk, but there is a buzzer to push. There is a pet fee I understand but they do accept them. We did not bring a dog. Husband came to see friends and go to Indy 500. Air conditioner was ok in room, walls a little thin but did not see many guests there so it was quiet. Checked in got key went in room all the walls and curtains where dirty and bed spread. Checked for beg bugs under sheets and mattress were none went to bathroom came out seen a roach and then grabbed my stuff went to front desk wanted refund they didn’t refund because i had used the bathroom and the bed spread was wrinkled because checked for bugs. Was only in room 15 mins waste of money and it’s a roach motel dirty filthy place looked like a crime scene on the walls.

We came into town unexpectedly for a family emergency and didn't realize it was the race weekend. We got in at 3am on Saturday and couldn't find a room anywhere. Everyone was either charging 400-500 a night or had no rooms available. After searching for awhile we found this little gem. It's not the most updated place but it's extremely clean. Cleaner than any Marriott or luxury hotel I've been in. You can tell they take pride in what they do. 10/10 will be staying here when we come back. Thanks y'all!!

Very dated. As you can see in the video, deadbolt lock does not work. Bring your own blankets. The ones on the bed are thread barren. Rooms appear clean. Raye is pricy for the quality of the rooms. Nice and warm on a cold night though.
