Anderson Camp

We stayed in a cabin for a family reunion this past weekend. I really wanted to love this place but I was not very impressed. My main complaints are the stink (sewer smell) and lack of cleanliness. When we got to our cabin it was very dirty, lots of dirt on the floors and spider webs all over the inside of the cabin.The toilet was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a while. We had to scrub it down before using. We had 1/4 roll of toilet paper in the bathroom so we had to purchase more at a local store. There were several feral cats all around our cabin. When we made dinner the cats were trying to get to our food. The cats were jumping on the table and railing of the porch all night and they sprayed our door and lawn chairs so we had to bring the chairs inside each night. Ther

We arrived 1 hr early for check-in. They ask us to pay $10 more for being 1 hr early. We had been driving awhile and paid so we could get setup. thought it was petty of them.||Anyway we get disconnected and tried to plug into the 30A receptacle and our plug just fell out. Their receptacle was totally broken.||We went to the office and explained the situation and the gal said their maintenance guy was out of town.||The gal in the office assigned us to a different site. Which the connections were fine. By this time we were only 1/2 hour early. She didn’t offer refund our early arrival charge and I so wanted to be petty right back and ask for $5 back because we were only 1/2 hour early. But I didn’t, they set the level of pettyness and I left it at that.||The paved entrance is completely full

This is a beautiful campground every clean.. Our spot was small. We would have enjoyed sitting outside, but the campground was right next to the freeway and all of the accompanying noise. They did have a cute cat. The road into and out had several very large potholes.

I would come and stay again! But, I give Anderson Camp a 4.5 if that was an option. First, the positives. It was very close to Twin Falls, not super expensive, the site was flat and we didn't need levelers and they have a pool. The negatives, it's very close to the interstate so we heard a lot of road noise, they don't have wifi at the moment because of a fire and bathrooms(which were clean) ran out of toilet paper. But it was late at night so we didn't go to the office, just used our tp(which was fine).

The grounds are well maintained but the amenities are lacking compared to some others in the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful to my nephew. The water hookup has a minor leak but everything else went very smooth. I would give a 4.5 overall.
