An Island Chalet

We recently spent two nights at An Island Chalet on Campobello Island. If peace and serenity and gorgeous sunsets in a beautiful location is what you’re after, this is the place for you. We haven’t experienced ‘quiet’ like this in a good while. The cottages are clean and comfortable. And from here you can visit the Roosevelt Park, Head Harbor light station, and other beautiful sights in the area. Seeing a humpback whale from the shore at Head Harbor Light Station (only 20 minutes from the chalet) was one of the highlights of our trip. Just pay attention to those tide charts!

My husband and I just returned from a short stay in one of the chalets.It was an awesome stay and only wish we could have been there for longer. Everything about the property and surroundings was perfect and just what we needed after a traumatic few months.The chalet was immaculately clean and comfortable. The owners went out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed.We loved it so much that I immediately booked another stay. Can't wait for our next visit.

This is simply the best lodging experience in the area, and I know this because I've been to most of them. The cabins are cute and equipped with a full kitchen and bath. There is a queen bed loft upstairs and two twin beds in a bedroom downstairs. Though not luxury, they have everything you need and it's like staying at camp with full linen service. They are super clean as well. Even though you're close to customs and the bridge, it is SO quiet and peaceful. Cabins are close together but I never felt like my privacy was invaded and other guests were very quiet overall. The owners both grew up in the area and have extensive knowledge of the Island and Lubec and were really helpful with suggestions without being intrusive. First let me say to Americans, the hosts here and everyone I've met on the island are very welcoming to Americans. Keep that in mind if you are intimidated about traveling to Canada right now. I almost hesitate to write a review because this place is a hidden gem that I'd like to keep to myself. Each cabin is its own small two bedroom house and is well maintained. In my opinion these cabins have the best views on the island. The cabins are spotless. They are very convenient to the FDR Bridge and to the parks. If you like to walk or ride bikes there are great trails with beautiful views. It is the perfect place to relax with natural beauty.

This is the third or fourth time we stayed at this chalet. It is immaculate inside and very cozy! And the view is spectacular!!! The owners are wonderful to work with! A must visit in the beautiful island!
