Didnt care for visitors(seemingly in-town) who brought full clothing to the pool, left clothes all over section of seating area, and their kids played aggressively and loudly in pool. It happened twice during my stay so I made arrangements to my schedule to use pool very late at night and bery early in morning to avoid. Staff on last moorning, a Saturday, seemed friendlier and also busy doing real stuff. Its a real nice place though, good HVAC unit.

Positive: "" Negative: I had to ask for refills at the breakfast more than once, the help was not on top of replenishing morning breakfast bar.

Enjoyable stay in clean comfortable room. Great shower and updated bathroom. Hot breakfast with eggs. Front desk service was oustanding. I had booked 2 rooms by mistake and they corrected the error and fully refunded the extra room even though they didn't need to. Thought price was a bit high for a mid-grade hotel but the overall experience made it worthwhile.

We spent a couple of nights at the American Inn in Merrill, WI with the grandkids as they did not have school. They loved the pool and the breakfast in the morning- their favorite is the make your own waffles.||We have stayed there a couple of times in the past and it is always consistently clean and friendly. It is close to a gas station, Walmart, a dollar Tree, Subway, McDonald's among other things. Our room was a little dated as we stayed in an older part, but we loved it because it was close to the pool.

Terrible experience. When we arrived we were not greeted. During check in I was informed the pet policy was different than the booking site I had used (Expedia). It was in fact $50 per pet. I informed her that is not good business to have different rates posted and she could have cared less. Apparently the manager called and tried to fix it, ok sure she did. The receptionist couldn't have cared less about this problem. She said either I pay or the dog has to stay outside. It is 20 degrees outside currently. Obviously after a long drive and the entire family there we paid. Terrible start to what was supposed to be a fun time. We head to our room. Very cramped. The bathroom fan has never been cleaned. Very stained carpet in almost the entire room. No instructions on how to use the remote. La
