OMG! So, I show up to a gated yard and I get a parking spot. Using my common sense, I navigate to what I think is a door knob attached to a gate. I rotate it left, and I stand amazed as I’m able to open the gate without a passcode or a retinal scan. ;-) the manager or OWNER or whoever is in charge, comes down a sidewalk and says I’ll take care of you. I walked in and informed him that I had a reservation booked online for the next four nights. He says that’s great but I will have to pay $100 deposit that is refundable if I promise not to smoke or have any pets or cause any damage. After the paperwork and deposit I make my way to my room. The key doesn’t work. I walked back downstairs and he sees me as he is hauling in some rock salt in case of ice tomorrow morning. I tell him my key doesn’

Carpet was filthy snd very old. There were broken electrical sockets in the hallway, the room was okay bedding was clean but floors/walls were dirty. The corridor to the elevator smelt if smoke as some guests were always out there smoking.

I gave this place a try because of the positive reviews. I really needed a place to stay that didn't cost a lot, and that was true. I would not stay here again. It does seem like the people running this place are trying to do a good job but it's in disrepair. Small things like holes in the walls, broken toilet seats, and sharpie writing on the long-worn out washcloths change it from feeling like a "cheap" place to stay to a "trashy" place to stay. Sound carries from other rooms. Overpowering air fresheners and scented detergent cover up smells and gave me a headache. Sex workers in the street and drug deals happening on the side walk in broad daylight. I left a day early from my non-refundable reservation because I couldn't take it any longer.

Super clean rooms, actually very nicely decorated and feels like a much more expensive room. The service was the best part! The guy at the front desk was super helpful and very kind. Absolutely recommend! That said, the beds are very soft and plush. If you prefer firmer mattresses you might want to get a different bed than I (I had the king).

Everyone was extremely friendly and extremely helpful! The place is in a tough location but it's surprisingly well appointed with all the conveniences of home. Will definitely stay there again!
