Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Livingston

Room was comfortable enough for one night. The “breakfast” was a zero star. There was a previous review that mentioned the tiny juice cups- LOL! I can vouch for that in the pics attached. But yet the bathroom had a fancy mirror that was touchscreen with a defogging functionality 🤔. Coffee was terrible, there was a toaster with some bread, little heated trays with potatoes that were not fresh, pre-cooked egg discs, heat and eat pancakes, two cereal containers that looked like old, a gallon pump bottle of some type of syrup, and biscuits (but no jelly). Definitely don’t stay here if you think the breakfast will be worth it 🤮

We booked this hotel for the 4th of July weekend, and honestly, it was rough. When we arrived, the place was under renovation (unaware), and the smell throughout the hotel was awful—like sewage and mildew mixed together. The pool was unusable, full of junk and debris floating around. The lobby clerk wasn’t welcoming at all—just rude and dismissive to my frustrations. No breakfast was offered since it was in the middle of renovations, which was disappointing, especially for a hotel with four stars. The clerk said the prices reflected that. I would have chosen a different hotel if I knew though. ||The only upside was that we happened to stay on a floor where they had finished renovating the very mediocre rooms. This hotel is currently under major renovation.  The first sign of negligent management is that the entrance is almost completely blocked by a disorderly pile of building materials.   One must enter through the back door of the hotel into a wreck of a first floor that was filthy and smelly.   We went up to the third floor room - 320 - which was newly renovated.  Most of the lights had not been plugged in and the shower water leaked.  The room was clean and new.   It just looked like nobody anticipated receiving visitors.   When we got up, there was no breakfast as the lobby was closed.   I know dealing with a renovation will be difficult, but everything about this hotel was shoddy and mismanaged.

The location is convenient and the exterior/photos make this place look far nicer than it actually is. Unfortunately, cleanliness was a major issue during my stay and really overshadowed any positives. While the room was cheap and the staff were welcoming to my dog (which I appreciated), the overall condition made it hard to feel comfortable. If you’re extremely budget-conscious and traveling with a pet, it might work in a pinch, but I wouldn’t recommend it otherwise.

Horrible place to stay. The manager is rude. The room I rented was pet friendly and I called to verify after my reservation. When I arrived the manager yelled at me that her staff forgot to write down pets. She gave me a room then double charged the pet deposit it still has not been returned to my credit card. The elevator was broke and housekeeping said it had been that way for WEEKS....I am 66 with knee replacements and assigned a 3rd floor room. seriously? No towels....washer on premise was broke. That place is a joke...THE ROOM HAD NO TOWELS BECAUSE THE WASHER HOUSEKEEPING USED WAS BROKE...I DID NOT OVERLOAD ANYTHING AND THE MANAGER HERSELF SAID THE ELEVATOR WAS WAITING FOR PARTS AND IT WAS DOWN THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF MY STAY....
