Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Independence VA

This is a older hotel, if you want a Clean, Quite, location Friendly place to stay and get a good night's rest this is the Hotel in the area to stay. Now, we have stayed at a lot of Hotels. The staff from top to bottom Best we have ever had. The all went above and beyond our expectations. Highly recommend this Hotel if you are in Independence VA.

One of the nicer budget hotels I’ve stayed at. Very nice room layout and large bathroom. Great location overlooking the quiet town. Walking distance to shopping plaza. Staff were great. The big win here was the cleanliness! The room and the bedding being very clean made me feel comfortable. Hope the house keeping crew are being taken care of, they are the reason I’ll be back. Breakfast was as expected for budget hotels- bagels, yogurt, cereal, muffins, juice, milk and good coffee.

I stayed here for 7 nights over the July 4th holiday with my family. We had stayed here several years ago when the hotel was under different ownership and was not sure how things may have changed, but we were pleasantly surprised. We had connecting rooms on the 2nd floor of the hotel, so it was great to have space to spread out. The rooms were very comfortable and seemed clean. Each one had a small refrigerator and microwave. The hotel had a continental breakfast, and although we didn’t eat there, the breakfast area seemed nice and it seemed to be a good selection of items. There was also fresh hot coffee in the mornings which was great. The location of the hotel is extremely good as it is right next to the main shopping center in town. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay! The rooms were super neat, the whole hotel smelled clean. The beds were on the firm side. They gave you plenty of pillows! Clean bathroom with a heater and fan... I fell in love with that heater in the shower/toilet room 😍 We asked for dining recommendations and the super sweet and helpful lady at the front desk suggested Mi Casa Azteca Mexican Restaurant. We would have never tried it if she didnt suggest it, but it was super yummy! The view from the parking lot is gorgeous. Like, you really could get a picnic and prop up on the back of your pickup for a nice dinner... and you are very close to a Dollar General, ABC store, and a Food City grocery store. Very convenient for getting snacks! Will definitely come back to stay here!

This was the second time we stayed at America's Best in Independence and were not disappointed. We will stay there again for the next reunion of Oak Hill Academy. I gather it was renovated within the last few years and under the new owners it really is very nice. It isn't a Hyatt or the Ritz but the room was clean and the coffee great! You have to take into context that Independence is not exactly a big city but rather a very friendly small town. It was refreshing.
