Americas Best Value Inn Roxboro

I should've paid more attention to the reviews! The pictures, I hadn't realized were from so long old and at this point, cannot even confidently stand as representation. I lost around $165 being the reservation was nonrefundable. I'd came across the hotel online. When I pulled up, in the parking lot, I tried to be hopeful. Sadly, the room looked as stale as it smelled. & Not just old, (because outdated is understandable in some cases) but sketchy, musky. There wasn't a proper duvet, looked like just sheets. There were cobwebs above the bed. The lamp didn't work. There was a power strip being used, also dirty, looked like it was going to check out too! These were a few things but the biggest issue was I just felt so, so uneasy there. I didn't even bring my things from the vehicle. I found

This place was awful looking and smelling. It must be the hangout for pimps, hoes and junkies or perhaps management just hasn't seen my review yet --- thus no incentive to clean and, perhaps even update the rooms. If you can afford not to stay here, please choose another location. And if you have kids, health concerns or general concern for safety, definitely consider somewhere else. The doors don't close correctly, some have duct tape on them from being rigged or kicked in. The ceiling is dirty and the carpet is filthy. And the smell of mold, stench and Lysol is overwhelming! The best thing about this hotel is that it has plenty of parking and it is on the main drag. Other than that...nada.

I've stayed in many hotels during my career, I've seen some really sketchy ones but this one has been a decent visit anytime I stay here. New towels just about everyday, trash taken out daily, and the rooms I've been in has been clean and free of any weird smells or bugs. They're definitely worth the money for what is provided.

Don't bother. There isn't anyone even at the front desk most of the time. They never answer the phone. The rooms are destroyed. Defiantly goi g to try budget inn a cross the street next time.

The cleaning lady was good. However the manager was rude, unfriendly and the rooms were dirty. They don't change the beds if you're staying over. Just a very bad experience.
